The Details You Need to Know
The EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 specifications are worth understanding. Once you see how much of a beast this little power station is, you’ll be convinced it’s the right solution for home and away.
EcoFlow Delta Pro 3
Here’s a quick breakdown of the newest power station from EcoFlow:
- 4,096Wh battery capacity (up to 36,864Wh total battery capacity with 3 units and 6 extra batteries)
- 4,000W AC inverter output (up to 12kW with 3 units)
- Two solar inputs: 1,600W (30-150V 15A) and 1,000W (11-60V 20A)
- 7 AC outlets, including two 240V options
- 7 DC outlets, including a 30A Anderson
- 10ms UPS switchover time
- 5 year warranty
In comparison to the existing Delta Pro, this steps up bigtime. It’s about 400Wh more battery and 400W higher AC output per unit. It also brings a single-unit 240V output to the table, while the old one had this capability with another unit and a split-phase connector.
When you look at the maximum system size, you’re reaching way above the past model. Total energy available goes from 25kWh to 48kWh (including power from the Dual Fuel Generator), and AC output nearly doubles from 7.2Kw to 12kW. There’s no doubt the Delta Pro 3 is a much more robust version.
This means it can power larger devices and it can last a lot longer. It can power your entire home for multiple days, and will have no problem running everything from your air conditioner to your fridge inside the home, and still have enough for the garage fridge too.
The solar inputs offer a lot of incoming power. We have another full post covering the Best Solar Panels for the Delta Pro 3.
This system can also connect to the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2, which is also compatible with the larger Delta Pro Ultra. This automatic transfer switch and subpanel turns your EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 into the backup power system with a seamless integration, no power interruptions, and the ultimate control and monitoring through the EcoFlow app.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 is not compatible with the Smart Home Panel 1. And unfortunate situation for early adopters looking to upgrade their systems. However, it is compatible with Delta Pro Extra Batteries.
The Delta Pro 3 has 7 unique charging methods that can work together to create 18 different combinations. The methods include:
- Dual solar inputs
- AC wall charging
- EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2
- Gas generator
- EV charging piles
- EcoFlow Alternator Charger
- Cigarette lighter outlet

EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 Extra Batteries
As expected, this version of the Delta Pro continues the modular design of EcoFlow’s biggest power stations. And it’s a major boost in capacity.
Each Delta Pro 3 Extra Battery has the same 4,096Wh as the main unit. With just one Delta Pro 3, you can charge a 12Wh cell phone battery more than 300 times. Add an extra battery for another 300 charges. This doubles your runtime for any devices connected.
EcoFlow says the maximum capacity is 48kWh (48,000Wh). But this figure includes the power available from the 4000W Dual Fuel Generator.
This EcoFlow power station has 36,864Wh of pure battery capacity in one system (3 inverter units with 6 extra batteries; 9 units in total with 4,096Wh each). While it’s still far behind the 90kWh of the Delta Pro Ultra, it’s a very respectable figure that provide home backup power for days. And it’s significantly higher than the Delta Pro’s 25kWh.
But there’s a nice twist to this generation.
The shape of the extra batteries and main Delta Pro 3 inverter unit are designed to stack on top. In the past, the extra batteries and other inverter units didn’t stack well, which meant a lot of floor space occupied with big systems.
Not anymore. The batteries can stack on top, with EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 images showing at two batteries on top of one inverter unit.

EcoFlow Dual Fuel 4000W Generator
Solar power is great. But it can sometimes not live up to your needs in either cloudy weather or if your energy demands simply exceed the amount of solar panels you have. That’s a great time for a fuel generator to step in. When used with a power station, a fuel generator can rapidly charge the battery so you don’t have to run it all the time. Use silent battery power then quickly recharge with the fuel generator as needed.
The current generation of the EcoFlow Dual Fuel Generator is a very impressive product. It can use either gasoline or propane fuel to create up to 1,800W of power.
The new EcoFlow Dual Fuel 4000W Generator brings that up to 4,000W, more than double the power.
This is a serious improvement for the backup power source. When your solar panels don’t cut it (or if solar doesn’t work for you at all), you’ll be able to use this fuel generator to recharge the Delta Pro 3 battery in about two hours.
The EcoFlow Dual Fuel 4000W Generator kicks out DC power at an impressive 56A, and just like the old version, it can connect to the EcoFlow app through both Bluetooth and WiFi.
It has a 6L (1.6 gallon) gasoline tank built in, which provides 8kWh of energy. And it can connect to an external propane tank of your choice. A 20lbs propane tank will charge up to 24kWh.
This combination of fuels allows for a lot of flexibility, with gasoline being readily available but propane working exceptionally well for long-term storage.
This EcoFlow smart generator takes its intelligence seriously. It has the ability to do a reverse start by the power station. You can set a certain battery level and the power station will automatically turn on the generator when needed. It’s a hands-off setup that keeps your power going without a hassle.

Comparison: Delta Pro & Delta Pro Ultra
The Delta Pro 3 joins a growing lineup of big EcoFlow power stations and solar generators. And for people considering an upgrade from the past models or determining if they should get the DP3 instead of the original Delta Pro or the bigger Delta Pro Ultra, it’s crucial to compare them.
It’s also important to know that the Delta Pro 3 does work with old Delta Pro Extra Batteries.

Delta Pro 3 Specifications
Here are the released specifications sheets for the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3, its Extra Battery, and the new Dual Fuel 4000W Smart Generator:

Overall Thoughts
EcoFlow does not disappoint with the release of the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 and the EcoFlow Dual Fuel 4000W Smart Generator. Both are impressive moves forward for two of the brand’s most attractive products.
The Delta Pro 3’s biggest improvements are increased capacity and capability. Being compatible with the EcoFlow Alternator Charger and offering an improved shape for stacking are the cherries on top.
The Delta Pro 3 is now going to turn heads like never before. It’s perhaps the best option for RVs and campervans where space is at a minimum and they can take advantage of all the different charging methods. But it’s also great for those that want a home battery backup system without the bulkiness of the Delta Pro Ultra. Or that just want a lower priced model.
For those that are looking for the biggest and best, the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra still takes the top spot. Especially when you pair it with the right solar panels to get maximum charging.
As far as the 4000W Smart Generator release, this is a big move up. Moving from 1,800W output to 4,000W means you can get the same amount of energy in less than half the time. The biggest compliant about the last version was that it wasn’t the most powerful inverter generator around. EcoFlow silences those critics with this release. And it still keeps the best of the smart start/stop functions.
