If the Anker F3800 price just extinguished your flame, let’s reignite it. You don’t have to spend that much money.
Instead, this Anker solar generator comes to the table with a much more reasonable price tag while maintaining a lot of capability. What you’ll lose is the massive 6kW inverter and the ability to link an entire series of batteries. Since many people don’t need those, the F2600 can be a great choice.
The inverter of the Anker F2600 can pump out 2,400W, which can still easily handle your fridge, television, WiFi router/modem, and plenty of charging time for your phones/tablets/laptops.
It even still has a 30-amp outlet that can power your RV or connect to a home subpanel.

Anker Solix F1500
Now we’re dropping down to the Solix F1500. While still a capable solar generator, this device loses the expandable battery capability and comes with slightly lower ratings all-around.
That doesn’t mean this is some slouch. The Anker Solix F1500 power station is still one of the best solar generators on the market.
This will still do a great job providing solar power to an RV or being used as the heart of a campervan electric system. It doesn’t have the 30-amp outlet though, so you may have limitations from the 110V output at 1,800W maximum (~15A).
And for tent camping adventure, this is an excellent choice. It’s robust. You won’t have to worry about shaded spots or cloudy days. You could also get devices like the Pecron 500W Car Charger for power stations to keep it charged while driving with a much higher-powered connection compared to the cigarette lighter port.
The most important features of this Anker power station are:

There are two major differences:

If you compare this battery size to one on a 12V system, it’s equal to about 100Ah. That’s a pretty sizable battery, but it’s nothing overkill. It can work for RV and campervan use, but it’s getting toward the lighter end of the spectrum. You’ll want to have many charging sources to stay topped off, or limit your energy consumption.
For tent camping or general lightweight emergency backup power, this can be a great device.
It’ll keep your GPS device, phones, lights, and a small fridge running for days. Especially if you throw on any solar panel from about 200W up to 600W. Max that out and you’ll replenish the battery in about 3 hours.
While we’re getting into cheaper Anker solar generator prices, there’s nothing third-rate about this power station. It’s still backed by the 5-year Anker warranty. Still uses the top-of-the-line LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery chemistry. And has a very impressive inverter and solar charger built in.
If you can swing the extra cash, it’s probably worth going with the bigger battery of the F1500. But if you want to save the dough for other adventures, this device isn’t going to let you down.

The C1000 is shockingly similar to the F1200. It keeps the same 1,800W inverter and 600W solar input. The AC input drops down to 1,300W, but it will still charge this entire device in less than an hour.
The difference is the battery bank. One one hand, we drop down to 1,056Wh of internal battery storage. That’s still 100 phone charges.
And on the other hand, you can use an external battery bank to expand the storage. The BP1000 Expansion Battery can add another 1,056Wh of energy. Now we’re reaching toward the Solix F2000 category.
What’s this device work well for? Tons of situations:
- Still an excellent camping solar generator that will power nearly any portable device you could ask for
- Supply emergency electricity at home for your personal handheld devices or limited TV/fridge use
- Run medical devices like a CPAP through more than one night on a signle charge
You can pair it with a 600W solar power. This is very large for this battery size, which means the solar will rapidly give you a full charge.

This is the smaller and more affordable lineup, the Anker PowerHouse Power Stations and Solar Generators. They can still serve a lot of people well, but they’re not the most robust for things like home battery backup or off-grid living. They’re more suitable for people with portable needs.
Let’s dive into the details.
Anker PowerHouse 555
The Anker PowerHouse 555 comes with 1,024Wh of battery storage and a 1,000W AC inverter output. And with that, you can’t write this off as some insignificant solar device. It still uses the advanced battery chemistry (LiFePO4) and comes with a solid 5-year warranty.
It comes with three USB-C ports, including two at 60W and one 100W. Another 6 AC outlets, 2 USB-A ports, and 1 car outlet are available. It even has a nice LED light on the front.
So what’s the problem? The solar charging limit is a little low. You’re capped at just 200W.
So it will take over 5 full hours to recharge the battery, under absolutely ideal conditions. In reality, you’re unlikely to charge the entire battery in one day.
You do also lose the Anker app functionality. So you can’t remotely monitor or control it.
This device works best if you don’t need to deplete the entire battery in one day. Or if you can recharge from an AC outlet before heading out for a trip. The 1kW battery can still:
- Charge a phone ~100 times
- Power a 10W LED light for around 100 hours

This is a monster solar panel, but it still folds up nicely so you can pack it away or bring it on adventures. At 400W, you can expect over 1kWh of charge in around three hours.
Because of this large size, it’s best for the large Anker solar generators.
For example, this will work exceptionally well with the Anker Solix F2000, which has a battery capacity of about 2kWh. If you have just one 400W solar panel and get a solid 4 hours of peak sunlight, that will provide somewhere near 1.3kWh of electricity. Add on another 400W panel and you can easily recharge the 2kWh battery in a day.

Although this chops the energy generating in half down to 200W, this panel keeps nearly everything else found in the larger 400W panel. 3-way kickstand, IP67 waterproof ratings, and a super-portable design.
There is one very significant difference, however. This model drops the standard MC4 solar panel connectors in favor of the XT-60 connection, which is used with Anker solar generators.
This allows you to easily connect to solar generators with a standard XT-60 cable, but it also means that you cannot use MC4 connections/wires to extend the distance. You need to buy XT-60 cables instead. Which is perfectly acceptable. They’re readily available and affordable.

These use a parallel connection type, which is usually going to be best for Anker Solar Panels and Power Stations.
These connectors keep the voltage equal to the lowest voltage of any one panel connected. It adds together the amps from all panels, then routes that to the power station. You just have to stay under the power station’s max amperage, which is 25A for the high-PV input of the largest F3800 power station and 20A for the next ones down, the F2600 and F2000.
Some examples of how these could be used include:
