Solar Generators: Quick List
This article goes deep into the details of all EcoFlow solar generators, power stations, solar panels, and accessories. You can see more about the specifications on our article with EcoFlow Comparison Charts.
But let’s kick things off with a very quick overview of EcoFlow solar generators.
Note: Portable power stations and solar generators are essentially the same device. It’s a portable box with a battery, an inverter, and charge controllers built in. You turn a portable power station into a solar generator by connecting a solar panel.

EcoFlow Whole Home Backup Solutions
EcoFlow is leading the way forward with portable power stations designed for whole home backup power. The biggest and best EcoFlow portable power stations and solar generators are:
- EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra: Best of the best with serious power and massive expansion capabilities
- EcoFlow Delta Pro: One of the largest portable power stations that is an industry-leading device
- EcoFlow Delta 2 Max: Good for short term power outages or lighter electrical needs, like an RV or camping adventure
The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra (DPU) is the latest power station from EcoFlow that is sweeping the market by storm. One DPU is amazingly powerful with 6kWh battery and 7.2kW AC output. If that’s not enough, you can stack on 3 additional main DPU units and 15 external batteries. There’s no task this EcoFlow power station can’t handle.
This expandable design lets you add more power as your budget allows or as your needs grow. And it’s found in many of the best EcoFlow solar generators.
The EcoFlow Smart Home Panel (SHP) connects the Delta Pro Ultra to your home circuits. It’s a seamless integration.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra (DPU) is the monster solution you’ll never outgrow. The Delta Pro is a solid second choice for a home battery backup or the heart of an off-grid electrical system, while the Delta 2 Max is an impressive power station but not quite as large or expandable as the other two.

More Compact EcoFlow Solar Generators
The EcoFlow River Power Stations are more affordable and compact options. They’re better for lighter off-grid electrical needs, like a tent camping electrical system, rather than whole-home solutions. They can also be useful for adding a little battery power for your RV or home, but they’re not going to power heavy-duty appliances for a very long time.
The EcoFlow River 2 with a 110W solar panel is the cheapest EcoFlow Solar Generator. It’s a good first solar powered system that works for charging phones, powering lights, and running other small devices. Many people outgrow it quickly.
A slightly better starting point is the EcoFlow River 2 Max Portable Power Station. It basically doubles the capability of the River 2.
One more step up gets to the River 2 Pro Solar Generator. It’s the most robust of the River solar generators, with a 220W panel and nearly 800Wh of battery storage. It could be used to add a little solar power to an RV.

EcoFlow Power Kits: DIY Solar Generator Packages
Another option is to use an EcoFlow Power Kits. There are basically a pre-selected bundle of components for you to make your own DIY system. In other words, they’re like a power station broken down into its different components.
While not very portable, they can be great for RVs and campervans. Or if you want to permanently install a home battery backup.

How Long Will an EcoFlow Solar Generator Power My Home?
The amount of time that any backup system powers your home depends on three things:
- The rate you consume energy
- The capacity of your backup battery bank
- The abilities of your charging system
The Delta Pro Ultra with one battery unit has 6kWh of battery storage. Without any power input, this will:
- Charge a cell phone about 600 times
- Power a lightbulb for about 600 hours
- Run a large 500W refrigerator for 30 hours or more
- Power a 2,000W air conditioner for 3hours
To increase the time, you can either (1) add more battery packs or (2) add a charging system.
The Delta Pro Ultra can use up to 15 battery packs in one system. That jumps up to a massive 90kWh of energy storage. Now you can run that air conditioner for 45 hours on full blast.
Adding solar panels or a fuel generator can also increase the power without destroying your budget. Two 400W solar panels can collect somewhere around 3kWh per day in many cases. EcoFlow’s Smart Generator can create 20kWh of electricity from one propane tank.

EcoFlow Delta Pro 3
EcoFlow has released a new and more powerful option in the Delta lineup, the Delta Pro 3. The specifications are very impressive, sitting below the Delta Pro Ultra but offering the second-most powerful power station. And it’s a more portable variant with stackable extra batteries.
The battery and inverter are at 4kWh and 4kW respectively for each single unit, up about 400Wh and 400W from the original Delta Pro. And you can now use three main units together, going up to 40kWh battery and 12kW AC output, a big jump from the Delta Pro’s 25kWh battery and 7.2kW AC output.
It can also work with the Smart Home Panel 2. And finally, the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 has a stackable design that will take up much less floorspace for those with many units or extra batteries. You can stack up to two batteries on top of each Delta Pro 3.
Overall, the Delta Pro 3 does a better job at bridging the gap between home power solution and portable power station. It’s a more robust option that maintains portability a little better than the Delta Pro Ultra, which is a little too big to routinely bring out of the house. For many people that want a dual purpose power station, the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 will be a great choice.
Don’t forget to grab the right solar panels for the Delta Pro 3 too.

EcoFlow Delta Pro
Not everyone needs the insane abilities of the Delta Ultra. The next step down is the EcoFlow Delta Pro Portable Power Station or Solar Generator (with panels). Make no mistake about it, you’re still dealing with a very serious system here.
While the Ultra has now surpassed the Delta Pro in capability, the Delta Pro is still an amazing system. It can provide backup battery power for a home, off-grid use, or any RV or camping adventure.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro Portable Power Station can:
- Be chained together to boost performance or increase battery capacity
- Work flawlessly with the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel or other transfer switch solutions
- Accept charging from up to 6,500W of sources at a time
The base product starts with 3.6kWh of battery, 3.6kW output, and 6.5kW charging input. That’s a solid battery backup or independent solar power system that can power nearly any device for many hours or days on end.
If you want your system to last longer without charging, you can chain two of the Delta Pro (DP) units together. This doubles the battery, output, and input.
If you only need extra battery capacity, you can save some cash by going with EcoFlow Delta Pro Smart Extra Battery units, which also have 3.6kWh capacity. You can add two Delta Pro Extra Batteries to each Delta Pro main unit.
The maximum full-system battery size is 21.6kWh, which includes two Delta Pros and four Delta Pro Smart Batteries.
The Delta Pro Ultra specifications are very impressive:

EcoFlow Delta 2 Max
As we continue through EcoFlow’s power station lineup, the Delta 2 Max comes up next. This is a perfect solution for creating a solar powered RV, providing electricity while tent camping, or powering any electrical device while away from home. It’s also ideal for medical device backup power, like a CPAP.
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max can still work as a home backup solution. It’s a solid choice if you want to get through short-term outages or pair it with powerful charging sources, like solar or a generator, for extended time off the grid.
There are two downsides to Delta 2 Max:
- You can connect 2 extra batteries, but that’s it. Much more limited expansion vs. the Delta Pro Ultra or Delta Pro.
- There is no high-amp output, but it still has 2,400W AC output, enough for most devices including refrigerators
One Delta 2 Max comes with 2kWh of battery storage. Add up to two extra batteries for a total capacity of 6,144Wh. On a 12V system, that’s over 500aH of battery storage.
This device is packed with:
- Six USB outlets
- Six AC outlets
- Three different charging ports
It also works great with solar panels with up to 1,000W of solar input through an advanced MPPT charger. This has ultra-fast charging abilities, filling the battery pack in as little as 2.3 hours. If you have grid power, you can recharge up to 80% in just 43 minutes.
For an RV or campervan, pair this with adequate solar panels and you can forget about campground outlets forever.
The Delta Max (not Delta 2 Max) is a separate offering. You can save some cash, but the battery isn’t rated for as many cycles. It also has a shorter warranty and slower charge rate. For most people, the 2 Max is worth it.
Here are the specifications for the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max:
Inverter Units: | Only 1 |
Battery Packs: | Up to 2 extra add-ons |
Battery Capacity: | 2kWh to 6kWh |
AC Output: | 2,400W (3,400W X-Boost) |
Solar Input: | 1,000W |
AC Input: | 1,800W |
Household Backup Power Time: | Many Hours to Days (with charging source) |

EcoFlow Delta 2
Now we’re to the beating heart of the EcoFlow Delta Solar Generators, the Delta 2. The affordable price and incredible capabilities make it an attractive choice for many.
Even though it’s not as impressive as other Delta units, it’s enough to provide hours of home backup use. And if you’re running an off-grid house, RV, or campervan with limited electronics, this can provide nearly everything you need in one small package.
It is important to keep your expectations reasonable. This device:
- Is best for powering lights, charging personal devices, or running other lightweight electronics
- Will be more limited if trying to power full-size refrigerators, air conditioners, or an entire household with electricity
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Portable Power Station comes with a 1kWh battery pack. But you can add one Delta 2 Max Smart Extra Battery to bump that up to 3,072Wh. That’s equal to 256Ah for a 12V system.
The built-in AC inverter is rated at 1,800W, enough to power up to 15 small devices at once. It can also handle 90% of home appliances, such as a microwave, hair dryer, or coffee maker.
Pair it with a set of solar panels to create one of the best solar generators on the market. It can handle up to 500W of solar charging. The AC charging (household plug) input features EcoFlow’s X-stream fast charging with up to 1,200W, which is 7 times faster than industry rivals.

EcoFlow Delta Mini
The most affordable option in the EcoFlow Delta Series is the EcoFlow Delta Mini. It’s backed by the same great company and has many attractive features. But it’s a much smaller, less intense package than other EcoFlow Delta solar generators.
The EcoFlow Delta Mini comes with ~900Wh of battery storage and a power inverter with 1,400W capabilities. That’s equal to 75aH at 12V.
This is a good starting point that is great for tent camping or powering any small electrical device. If you want something to charge your phone while camping and provide lighting around your off-grid house, RV, or campsite, it’s perfect.
The 300W solar panel input is a very impressive feature. You can fully recharge this with around 3-4 hours of sunlight. Once again, EcoFlow shows the dedication to providing some of the best charging capabilities on the market.
As far as home backup solutions go, this one is much more limited. You probably won’t be powering your circuits or going through a breaker box, but instead can pull this out of storage to keep your phone, medical devices, and other essentials running.
Here are the specs for the EcoFlow Delta Mini:
Inverter Units: | Only 1 |
Battery Packs: | 1 integrated |
Battery Capacity: | 882Wh |

EcoFlow River Series
For those seeking the most portable solar generator, the EcoFlow River Series fills the need. It picks up where the Delta Mini leaves off, going down in size and price.
The River Series is still full of solar power solutions for RVs, vanlife, and camping. It’s more limited as a home backup power device, but can work well for charging phones, powering internet routers, or keeping your essential medical devices running.
The most attractive aspects of the EcoFlow River solar generators are that they’re backed by EcoFlow’s same commitment to reliability and customer service, in a small portable package that you can take anywhere.
Perhaps most importantly, the River power stations also let you save cash for other adventures.
Let’s go through the entire EcoFlow River Series options.

EcoFlow River 2 Pro
As the largest one in the River Series, this little power station means business. The battery capacity is 768Wh. When paired with adequate solar panels, it can produce up to 1.8kWh per day.
You’ll find quite a few options across competitor lines that offer similar battery capacities and inverters. Here’s why EcoFlow River 2 Pro is superior:
- TÜV Rheinland safety certification
- Lightning fast recharging in 70 minutes, 5x faster than rivals
- Battery is rated for 10 years of use
- High-quality battery management, charging, and inverter systems
Weighing in at just 17.2 pounds, anyone can manage hauling this around the campsite or house. Bring it to the beach, park, or any event without a hassle.
You also get the EcoFlow app to control and monitor the River 2 Pro. It lets you control the four different charging methods (solar, 12V car, AC outlet, and DC5521), keep an eye on battery levels, and check things like energy consumption over time.
The EcoFlow River Pro (not the 2) is another product with similar features. But its battery is smaller and only rated for 800 cycles. It’s essentially the outdated version of the better, newer River 2 Pro.
Here are the specifications for the EcoFlow River 2 Pro:
Battery Capacity: | 768Wh |
AC Output: | 800W (1,600 X-Boost) |
Solar Input: | 220W |
AC Input: | 940W |
Weight: | 17.2 lbs (7.8 kg) |

EcoFlow River 2 Max
As we go through the River Series, we’re going to decrease the specifications across the board. Other than that, the EcoFlow River 2 Max is nearly identical to the River 2 Pro.
The battery capacity drops down to 512Wh, which is still enough to charge a phone about 50 times or provide 50 hours of light from a 10W bulb. But it’s only about 10 hours for a 50W device, like a laptop.
The EcoFlow River 2 Max retains the impressive 220W solar input. This can fully charge in about 3 hours of direct sunlight. Or use the 660W AC input to go from 0 to 100% in just an hour. As far as charging capabilities go, the River 2 Max couldn’t be better.
Once again, you still get a battery rated for 10 years, the EcoFlow app control, and a variety of inputs and outlets that make charging and using solar power a breeze.
Here are all of the vital specifications for the EcoFlow River 2 Max:
Battery Capacity: | 512Wh |
AC Output: | 500W (1,000 X-Boost) |

EcoFlow River 2
By chopping the battery capacity in half once again, you get to the base EcoFlow River 2 solar generator and portable power station. This is still plenty to run lights or charge phones, but not recommended for running fridge or similar devices.
The EcoFlow River 2 is a great little device to keep in your closet for medical devices. Or pack it with your camping gear to keep cameras, GPS devices, and phones charged up.
It cuts the weight all the way down to 7.7 lbs as well, which is about 30% less weight than competitor products. EcoFlow knows how to pack big things into a small package.
While the price reaches into a very budget-friendly territory, you still get all the bells and whistles that EcoFlow products are known for:
- Four charging methods
- Rapid charge on AC outlets in one hour
- 300W inverter with 600W X-Boost surge
- 10 years of battery use
This solar generator makes an excellent gift or a way to bring a little electricity while tent camping.
The EcoFlow River 2 is not going to blow your socks off with its battery bank or power any heavy-duty devices, but that’s not its purpose. It’s a lightweight power station made by one of the best brands in the industry.
And at this price level, there’s really nothing to complain about. Perfect solar generator for beginners.
The EcoFlow River 2 specifications are:
Battery Capacity: | 256Wh |
AC Output: | 300W (600 X-Boost) |
Solar Input: | 110W |
AC Input: | 360W |
Weight: | 7.7 lbs (3.5 kg) |

EcoFlow River Mini
EcoFlow used to offer one smaller portable power station called the EcoFlow River Mini. But it has since been discontinued. Now, the smallest device you can get from EcoFlow is the River base model.
If you want something even smaller than that, you may consider just going with a portable battery bank. They can provide around four cell phone charges and still use small portable solar panels, like 40W.
For more information, head over to our article on How to Charge a Phone While Camping.

EcoFlow Solar Panels
EcoFlow offers a wide variety of solar panels. By pairing the EcoFlow solar panels with an EcoFlow power station, your entire solar generator system is backed by:
- Excellent warranty coverage
- Top-notch customer service
- High-quality engineering and components
EcoFlow solar panels are available in two categories: portable solar panels and mountable solar panels. The total watts of the system dictates how much power it will send to your devices or battery packs.
Let’s dive into the EcoFlow Solar Panel options.
You might want to read our Solar Panel Calculator to make sure you get enough panels.

EcoFlow Portable Solar Panels: 60W to 400W
If you are using an EcoFlow solar generator while camping or on the go, portable solar panels are a great solution.
But portable solar panels can also work well for home backup power use. No need to install anything on your roof. Just toss them out in your yard when you need solar charging. And put them away when you don’t.
Another major benefit of portable solar panels is that you can move them to catch peak sunlight. As you can imagine, shaded areas severely reduce any solar input. This makes portable solar panels ideal for:
- Parking your RV or campervan in the shade and placing solar panels in direct sun elsewhere
- Grabbing pockets of sunlight coming through heavily-treed properties
- Moving with the sun as seasons and the angle of the sun changes
The largest portable solar panel from EcoFlow is the 400W. This is a very large portable solar panel, basically about as big as you can get. It’s also quite large when unfolded, measuring in at just under 8 feet by about 3.5 feet.
With that size comes a lot of solar power. If you can catch 4 hours of peak sunlight in ideal conditions, you can generate around 1,300Wh of energy with just one panel.
The next step down in size is EcoFlow’s 220W Bifacial solar panel. This one is special because it has 220W on the side facing the sun, as well as another 155W on the underside.
This double-face design can collect up to 25% more energy than single-sided panels. But that requires ideal conditions, like putting a mirror directly under the panel. Grass only provides a 7.2% boost. Some people really enjoy the boosted capability of the bifacial, but many others prefer saving cash to add a second panel instead.
Other sizes of EcoFlow portable solar panels include 160W, 110W, and 60W. The 160W is likely the most attractive out of this bunch. But if you only need to power very small devices the 60W can do the trick.
Also, EcoFlow recently released the NextGen series of solar panels. You can save money by going with the old design or pony up the dough to get the latest and greatest.

EcoFlow Mountable Solar Panels: 400W and 100W Options
The options for mountable solar panels from EcoFlow include two 100W options and one 400W.
The EcoFlow 400W mountable solar panel is ideal to generate maximum power. It packs a lot onto a single panel, which reduces installation issues and wiring. But you do have to pay extra for that convenience.
The EcoFlow 100W solar panels are available in rigid or flexible designs. They have the same conversion rate and basically identical properties, except for the fact that one can bend slightly around items. It’s good for boats or unique home roof designs. They’re also sleek and don’t stick out like the rigid panels.
The 100W rigid panels can work well for:
- Small solar arrays of ~500W or less
- Working around other items on a small RV or campervan roof
- Adding a little boost to a larger array where another 400W panel might not fit
As a reminder, while EcoFlow solar panels have a lot of great aspects, your EcoFlow Portable Power Station can work with essentially any solar power under the sun. You can read all about How to Connect Solar Panels for more details.

EcoFlow Accessories
Now it’s time for the nitty gritty and the fun stuff. EcoFlow offers a wide variety of accessories that can increase your solar generator’s capabilities and allow for seamless connections to a house.
Let’s go over the main EcoFlow accessories to see what you might want to add to your cart.

EcoFlow Extra Batteries
Without a doubt, extra battery packs are one of the most popular EcoFlow add-ons around. That’s because extra batteries for your solar generator:
- Work flawlessly with EcoFlow power stations
- Add essential off-grid power to run devices for longer
- Increase your ability to store power from charging sources
Adding extra battery packs is something that many solar users end up doing over time.
The most capable system is the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra. You can start with one battery pack and one main inverter unit. Over time, you can add on up to 15 battery packs!
The Delta Pro and Delta 2 Max also have extra battery banks that can more than double their capacity.
And the best part is that you can save a lot of money because the batteries are less complicated devices without inverters. They’re much less expensive than another main unit.

- Up to 20 kWh of energy from one 20 lbs propane tank
- Up to 5.4kWh of energy from the integrated 4L (~1 gallon) gasoline tank
Your EcoFlow solar generators and power stations will accept a charge from nearly any generator on the market. Which is great. So why would you buy the EcoFlow unit?
Many reasons. The EcoFlow generator has:
- Automatic mode that will cycle your generator off and on according to the needs of your EcoFlow power station
- Three other modes to start the generator: electric button, electric through the app, and a manual pull string
- Built-in safety devices include CO monitor, overheating/overload prevention, plus fuel and oil level alerts
Simply put, this is the best way to provide an alternative charging solution to your EcoFlow Delta Series power station. Use solar and grid power when available, but have peace of mind that you will never run out of power with this generator.

EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2
If you’ve been looking around EcoFlow products, you may have noticed quite a few people mention the SHP, which is short for the Smart Home Panel.
The EcoFlow Smart Home Panel 2 allows your EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra or Delta Pro power station to connect to your home circuits. Or according to EcoFlow, it’s the “hub of your whole-home backup system.”
Once installed, the Smart Home Panel will monitor your home’s energy needs. If the grid power shuts off, it will automatically switch over to your Delta Pro Ultra or Delta Pro power station.
In fact, this automatic switchover happens in just 20 milliseconds. You won’t even notice that an outage has happened.
The EcoFlow app allows for extensive control of your power. You can categorize your circuits into three levels of priority, ensuring that the most important devices stay powered up during an outage while less critical ones don’t waste energy.
You can also set certain times for your SHP to switch to your battery banks as a power source. This lets you avoid peak charge times of the day and save on your energy bill. Recharge the batteries with solar or during lower-priced hours from the grid.
Installing the Smart Home Panel is not overly difficult, but it is the one step that most people will hire a professional for. The cost is still quite minimal in comparison to other solar and battery backup home solutions.

EcoFlow Transfer Switch (Manual)
If you don’t want to spend the cash on the Smart Home Panel or simply prefer a manual transfer switch, EcoFlow has you covered. The EcoFlow Transfer Switch is another option that allows you to connect your EcoFlow solar generators and power stations to your home circuits.
The main difference is that this is a manual transfer switch. That means that it doesn’t automatically switch over to backup power if an outage occurs. You will need to physically switch over a switch to go from grid power to your backup solution.
This product comes in a variety of specifications, with anywhere from 6 to 10 breakers and up to 50 amps. It is actually made by Reliance Controls, a company with over a century of electronics expertise.
